I'm looking for a roomie to share my new place; I'm not picky about male or female, I've lived with both, it is far more important that it be the right person. The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and nearly 1,800 sq ft, with a living room, dining room, family room, laundry room, and 1/4 acre fenced backyard. It's on the outskirts of downtown right near Crabtree Creek and the greenway; it's a 1962 split level and they have kept it in great condition but have done almost no upgrades so it has crazy-fun 60's styling and I can't wait to decorate! The kitchen even still has the in-wall oven and white with green fleck countertops
I'm looking for someone who loves animals (I have two dogs and I foster as well so have 4 in the house right now-additions to the family are welcome) and will enjoy chilling with them on the sofa while we watch a movie. I prefer to 'live' with my roommates rather than just reside in the same space so I'm really looking for someone who would enjoy cooking dinner with me and having a beer while we watch Fringe or Bones and will join me occasionally for some out-on-the-town time. Ready for the disclaimer? Please: no drugs, be in the habit of paying bills on time, know how to take out trash, recycle, clean up after yourself etc. (I know it's silly to have to say that, but after my last experience I will have it known up front that I do not expect to be your mother or have you be mine.)
About me: I'm 26, work full-time for an environmental nonprofit doing teaching/biology/legislation/legal stuff...I love to hike and kayak and garden and I appreciate a good run or yoga class. I like to have things tidy so that any guest who pops over feels comfortable and welcome, but I'm also not a clean freak and am ok with the occasional week of clutter as long as it gets taken care of when the time-stress subsides.
